  444. PART 3  EXECUTION
  445.  
  446. 3.1 EXAMINATION
  447.  
  448.     A.  Verification of Conditions:
  449.         1.  Openings are correct sizes in accordance with
  450.             Architect-accepted shop drawings.
  451.         2.  Substrates are prepared to receive products of this
  452.             section.
  453.  
  454.     B.  Installer's Examination:
  455.         1.  Have installer of this section examine conditions
  456.             under which construction activities of this section
  457.             are to be performed, then submit written notification
  458.             if such conditions are unacceptable.
  459.         2.  Transmit two copies of installer's report to
  460.             Architect within 24 hr. of receipt.
  461.         3.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  462.             before unacceptable conditions have been corrected is
  463.             prohibited.
  464.         4.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  465.             indicates installer's acceptance of conditions.

  467. 3.2 INSTALLATION

  477.     A.  Adjust operating hardware for correct operation of units

  482.     A.  Clean finishes of units in accordance with manufacturer's
  483.         printed instructions.
  484.  
  485. 3.5 PROTECTION OF INSTALLED PRODUCTS
  486.  
  487.     A.  Protect units from damage by subsequent construction
  488.         activities until Substantial Completion; replace damaged
  489.         units having damage other than minor finish damage at
  490.         Contractor's expense.

  492.     B.  Repair minor finish damage to units in accordance with
